Family favourites are coming to the big screen next month when a drive-in cinema rolls in to Himley Hall and Park next month.
The picturesque park will be the setting for families in cars for four screenings over August 8 and 9.
Dudley Council ran an online poll to find out the borough’s favourite family flicks with Paddington 2, Grease, Toy Story and The Lion King coming out on top.
Tickets are now on sale for the screenings, which will be open to people in cars only, priced at just £20 per car, plus VAT and a small booking fee. Councillor Ian Kettle, cabinet member responsible for Himley Hall and Park, said:
"It’s been a tough few months for everyone and we thought a drive-in cinema would be the perfect pick-me-up. People will be able to stay in their cars throughout the screenings, so they are perfectly safe.
"What better way to spend valuable time out of the house and have fun with your family."
On Saturday August 8, Paddington 2 will be screening at noon followed by a Grease sing-along at 5pm. On Sunday 9 August Toy Story will be showing at noon with The Lion King later at 5pm.
Visitors will be encouraged to bring their own food and refreshments but alcohol will not be allowed. Gates will be open one hour before each showing. Cars will be kept apart following the two metre social distancing regulations and people will be able to stream the audio from the film via their car radios.
Toilet provision will also take into consideration the government guidelines with health and safety measures in place to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit.
Tickets are available via the website at himleyhallandpark.co.uk.
