Tickets flying out for St George's event at Dudley Zoo

Dudley Zoo and Castle is once again hosting the Dudley borough’s St George’s Day and tickets are flying out, with less than 500 left.

The attraction will be celebrating the legend of St George on Sunday, April 26 between 3pm – 7pm in the courtyard of the 950 year-old old castle, with medieval re-enactments, history talks, children’s entertainers, crafts and the chance to meet Smoked! the Dragon, who’ll be doing a walkabout around the cobbled grounds.

There will also be extra talks and feeds at the penguin and sea lion enclosures for families to enjoy and refreshments will be available from the Queen Mary Restaurant.

Tickets cost just £3.50 for adults and children (three years and above). They can be booked online at www.dudleyzoo.org.uk or by calling 01384 215313 and are only valid from 3pm on the day. Zoo Director Derek Grove, said:

“This is the fifth consecutive year we’ve hosted the borough’s St George’s Day festival, which has always proved to be popular and this year seems to be no exception as tickets are selling fast.

"We would urge residents to be quick if they would like to snap up the last few places to come along for some patriotic fun.

”We look forward to welcoming everybody to Dudley Zoo and Castle later in the year."
