Star of 'Live At The Apollo' and 'Mock The Week', Zoe Lyons, is to headline the next big comedy night in Brierley Hill in May.
The comedian, who also recently appeared on Celebrity Masterchef, will be joined on the bill at Brierley Hill Civic Hall by Britains Got Talent star, Daliso Chaponda, who was Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer act in 2017.
The line-up for the show on Thursday 9th May will be completed by Liverpudlian, Adam Rowe, one of the fastest rising comics on the circuit who won the coveted “Best Joke” prize at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year. Tickets start from just £10 and are now on sale and expected to be snapped up quickly.
The announcement comes just a few days after nearly 600 people packed into the Bank Street venue to see 'The Mash Report' star, Rachel Parris, Paul Sinha (The Chase) and Tez Ilyas (Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week) raise the roof. The May date is being promoted by local outfit 'Funny Beeseness' and will be hosted by resident MC, Wayne Beese, from Dudley. Beese said:
“We’re delighted to get all three comics to come and perform and it promises to be an hilarious night. Zoe is absolutely brilliant and last year won the Comedian’s Comedian award - voted for by fellow comics - as well as Chortle’s Best Club Comic. She never fails to deliver.
“Daliso really stole the nation’s hearts when he shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent, while I think Adam is going to be absolutely huge and is an incredibly funny act.
“All in all it promises to be an amazing night, especially when you consider tickets are just a tenner in some parts. We would urge people to get booked up and come along and support the night.”
The regular 'Live At The Civic' shows have been a staple at the hall for nearly three years. Acts who have graced the stage include big names like Ross Noble, Joe Lycett, Seann Walsh and Gary Delaney as well as a host of local comedians.
Doors and bar for the show will open at 7pm, with the show starting around 8pm. To buy tickets, or for further information, head to funnybeeseness.co.uk.
