Uninsured driver denies causing death crash

An uninsured Stourbridge learner driver has denied causing a crash which killed a teenage mother.

Joseph Chance told Wolverhampton Crown Court he had not been racing Dylan Stringer moments before his Ford Focus ploughed into a wall on Hagley Road.

18 year-old Nadine Foster, a passenger in Stringer’s car, later died of injuries sustained in the crash.

The prosecution have alleged 25 year-old Chance was behind the wheel of his Renault Clio and was racing Stringer at speeds up to 78mph after they had been drinking in the Chicago bar in Stourbridge. The trial continues.
