People can quiz the leader of Dudley Council - from budgets to bins - in an open debate live on Facebook.
Councillor Pete Lowe will be on the council’s Facebook page on September 29th in the latest online community forum.
The national award-winning online community forums give people the chance to raise issues and discuss ideas with the leader of the council in an hour-long session. People can discuss any topic they choose from reductions to services as a result of unprecedented cuts to funding from central government to the proposed Dudley Museum and Art Gallery move to the Archives building or the future of the former Hippodrome building.
People can ‘like’ the Dudley Borough Facebook page to take part in the online forum, which runs from 6-7pm. Councillor Pete Lowe, leader of Dudley Council, said:
“As a community council we believe strongly in open and transparent discussions with people, even on extremely difficult subjects.
“We are having to make a lot of very difficult decisions at the moment and I very much welcome the opportunity to hear the views of people and discuss some of the issues affecting their communities at the same time.”
All requests from people during the online forum, which compliments the ten community forums in the borough, are passed onto the relevant council department. For more information on the community forums visit dudley.gov.uk/resident.
